  For what reason is the truth hidden from us?

  note to board ... i'm starting this thread as a request from "judas i" cause he reached his limit... but it is related to this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/113936/1.ashx.

  so why is everyone not allowed to interpert successfully the holy writings?

  for what reason is the truth hidden from us?

  True Christians neutral in War?

  today i re-established contact with an older true - friend who is still a jw.

  in the fifty years that he has been baptized he invested a lot of time and effort in helping the needy and elderly, loyally taking up responsibilities in the org as an elder, organizer, speaker and shepherd.

  he is still out there as a lowly publisher, tirelessly going from door to door with only his bible.

  Perhaps they are waiting on Jesus to do it for them, or waiting for Him to kill'em all? So maybe they figure "why bother"?

  Beats me...maybe I should ask my JW mom that tomorrow....

  I may have to bring that to the attention of my JW mom. Although she doesn't dare bring up anything spiritual to me anymore, no accusations nothing. My Dad forbid me to even ask her a question.(So I would call my grandma and have her ask her my question) Did I disobey by doing that?

  I am learning to play the game...I just have to figure out how to win.

  i read in a recent post that this was the case.

  then i went and checked out the first topics- totally right- simon had actually removed a topic for being apostate-sympathizing.

  Perhaps they are the "apostates"?

  it is all subjective and simple opinions IMO.

  We probablyy won't know until God tells us who is what I suppose.

  Maybe we ALL are "apostates" in his eyes.

  Why would you have to force people to believe the truth? Wouldn't it be like common sense? Do you have to force people and threaten to kill them if they touch a hot stove? Doesn't add up to me.

  But how do I know what is true...versus believing something I could be wrong about...or misleading myself?

  Even worse...what if I set out to scare others into believing my (false) truth and following me?

  Does this sort of thing happen often? Would it happen if God revealed HIS truth to everyone?

  How do they know what is bad? How come they sometimes punish even execute innocent people? Is that God making a mistake? Or them? Are they out of control or something?
